The X220 sports that the tried and true ThinkPad aesthetic, complete with a rubberized lid and also a metallic Lenovo logo, along with raven-black sides, bottom, plus deck. As usual, the only dashes of color are the bright reddish TrackPoint and also a light blue Input key on the computer keyboard. Perhaps the most striking departure from other high-end ThinkPads may be the lack of a latch onto the lid.

Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Feature

There are few things more embarrassing than a hot notebook, so we must give kudos to the X220 for keeping it cool. Once streaming a video in full screen for a quarter-hour, we quantified the touchpad just 82 degrees F, the computer at a trendy 86 degrees, and also the bottom at a moderate 91 degrees. We consider temperatures below 95 degrees to become comfortable. The ThinkPad X220 includes two different stretching devices: a TrackPoint pointing stick and a touchpad.
